Kori has always had a passion for and appreciation of visual storytelling. Her love for creative video production began at age nine when she started casting her stuffed animals and American Girl Dolls in iPod touch stop-motion movies. In high school, Kori's affection for video evolved as she frequently edited comical clips of her friends to post on Instagram. As an adult, her skills and ideas have blossomed into her own original style, and yes—she still does stop-motion.During her time at Southern New Hampshire University, Kori wrote, directed, and edited numerous short films for several courses. She collaborated with other students to assist in the production of their projects as an actress on several occasions as well. Kori has been featured 3x in films by former classmate Thomas Wilkins: Whiplash: Bris Tangle's Rubbish Life (2022), Just Like A Dream (2023), and The Device (2023). Her short film Day In The Life (2023) was featured at the 2023 Humanities Film Festival at Southern New Hampshire University. She was featured again 2x at the 2024 Humanities Film Festival with I'm Looking Through You (2022) and A Little (More) Conversation (2023). Most recently, Kori’s original screenplay L’amoureux (The Lover) (2026) took home the Stargazer Award for Most Inspiring Film at the 2026 Creative Guts Short Film Festival.Some of Kori's biggest inspirations in video production are movies When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, and Call Me By Your Name. Though Kori loves every aspect of the video production process, she feels her greatest strength is in the editing. Her cinematic style is eclectic, vintage, lyrical, and romantic. She loves using various mediums when creating her projects, from the incorporation of hand-illustrated art into shot sequences to spinning records for unique audio takes. From drafting dramatic tales about her grandparents' English Springer Spaniels to creating comic books about the adventures of her American Girl Dolls, Kori has adored writing for as long as she can remember. Her first publication came at age six, when she was awarded honorable mention for her original story The Mystery of the Missing Ballet Shoes (2008) by NHPTV's 14th Annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest.Kori has an eclectic writing portfolio and has been published 7x in SNHU's Literary Journal The Manatee. In June 2024, Kori was nominated by instructors in the SNHU Creative Writing and English program to read her work at the Creative Writing Graduate Spotlight Word for Word Reading Series as someone whose creative writing "merited the highest accolades." Kori was one of six graduates in the nationwide program invited to share her work. Commercially, Kori has teamed with Heavenly Spirits Imports to help develop copy for features in Chilled Magazine and worked with Lavallee Brensinger Architects to bring a new voice to the firm with compelling website copy. In her most recent role at Saint Anselm College, Kori has taken her skills to the world of higher education, with her name in the byline of countless digital and print publications, adding journalism to her resumé. When asked about her biggest inspiration in writing, Kori routinely remarks that falling in love made her the poet she is today. She has also been influenced by André Aciman's enchanting storytelling in Call Me By Your Name, a book she has annotated from front to back and read countless times.Kori's primary mission within compositions has always been to find beauty in the mundane. She aims to cultivate compelling pieces that transform her readers' experience through lavish, rich, and sensory descriptions. Inspired by Kori's all-encompassing romance, this film adaptation of her short story takes viewers on a voyeuristic journey through the senses of a perceptive next-door neighbor. The Number 9 Hypothesis (2022) blends Kori’s undying love for The Beatles with her extensive knowledge of the band in a refreshing and strategically humorous piece. Inspired by The White Album's bizarre "Revolution 9," this film highlights Kori's dedication to seamless edits and more importantly, the bit.

Margot

Margot (2022) originated from an assignment to visually reimagine Ray Bradbury's short story All Summer in a Day. The hours Kori spent in college literature courses paid off with this symbolic depiction of an intricate textual analysis.

Visual Poetry of The Elegant Essence (2022) captured Kori as she began to fall in love. Though she doesn't explicitly state it, her use of romantic shots, various expressions of contentment, and sincere, honest monologue document this very real moment in her life like a visual diary entry.

Kori worked on this social media promotion video with a goal of showcasing Conway + Banks' "Louise Backpack." With full creative control, Kori thought it would be beneficial to consider the bag's multi-season functionality by including alternatives to hockey skates. From concept to execution, this video is a testament to Kori's ability to create content that is unique to a brand.

As requested, Kori created two versions of this content. With a can-do attitude and diverse editing skills, Kori pivoted to change the feel of the video from a full-on advertisement to subtly integrated brand promotion.This content has garnered 2,000+ views across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Kori worked on a variety of promotion projects for the category-leading United States importer, Heavenly Spirits Imports. Her collaboration with the company resulted in entreating and informative video content for social media. Kori attended numerous tastings to understand the products, developed showcase videos of events, and teamed with the brand ambassador.

While working at Lavallee Brensinger Architects, Kori storyboarded and wrote a detailed script for a video showcasing an $100M project in Swampscott, Massachusetts. She conducted the interview while filming and edited the video, amassing 3,200+ views with 93% being new viewers. The video quickly became the firm's highest liked and viewed post, totaling more than all previous posts combined. The series was very well received, resulting in numerous client requests for videos of their own. Kori's strategic editing skills and storytelling knowledge introduced the inclusion of creative video content to the firm for the first time.

A. I attended Southern New Hampshire University (the campus) and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and English and a minor in Art History.Q. What is your creative brainstorming process?
A. I truly feel that some of my best ideas have originated in the shower. Most of my inspiration is derived from my own experiences or favorite songs, so I carry a notebook with me everywhere I go.Q. What is your favorite movie?
A. When Harry Met Sally. It's hard for me to imagine a world where anything tops it. Other high-ranking films on my list include Call Me By Your Name, You've Got Mail, and my childhood favorite—The Wizard of Oz. I'm guilty of watching these movies on a loop when I should be expanding my cinematic knowledge.Q. What is the best book you've read as an adult?
A. Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman is a novel that I repeatedly find myself drawing creative inspiration from. I enjoy poetic writing, and that piece does exactly that. Another one that comes to mind is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Johnathan Safran Foer.Q. What were your favorite book series as a young reader?
A. As a product of 2002, some memorable series from my childhood were A to Z Mysteries by Ron Roy, Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park, Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osbourne, Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, and Ivy + Bean by Annie Barrows. Some of my stand-alone favorites were introduced to me by schoolteachers , such asThe Big One-Oh by Dean Pitchford, Closed for the Season by Mary Downing Hahn, and The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. I also have fond memories of my dad reading me the entirety of the Harry Potter series, which I won in a library raffle for completing my summer reading.Q. You're working on writing your very own children's book. As you develop your story, have any picture books inspired you?
A. I have read so many lovely picture books and learned that pretty much all of my favorites have the same theme— animals. Some of my favorites include This Way, Charlie by Caron Levis and Knight Owl by Christopher Denise.Q. What is your favorite type of writing to produce?
A. Anything that allows me to tell a story with beautiful imagery. My primary mission in my work is to make even the mundane sound magical.Q. What advice do you have for those wanting to start writing?
A. Writing is subjective, so take criticism with a grain of salt. Not everyone will like your work and that's entirely okay. You have to create for yourself and make art you want to consume regardless of its marketability. I resonate most with pieces that feel authentic to the artist behind it, not based on what's trending.Q. How do you combat writer's block?
A. Stepping away from the piece and revisiting it in a few days, weeks, or sometimes months. It always gives me a fresh perspective and makes the story better.Q. What is your favorite part of the video production process?
A. The editing. It's what I enjoy most, feel I'm best at, and always look forward to.Q. How do you begin developing a short film?
A. It all depends on the type of video I am producing. I tend to start with a song and design the concept around that. When there's a beat, I can visualize the timing, cuts, transitions, etc. in my head. For organizational purposes, having a rough script and shot list is also beneficial.Q. What's your favorite song?
A. This is an impossible question, but I can give you my top three (in no particular order.) "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds, "Take On Me" by a-ha, and "Something" by The Beatles. I can also tell you that I've listened to "Don't You (Forget About Me)" nearly 700 times as of June 2026.Q. What do you like to do aside from writing and video production?
A. I love collecting records, lying in the sun, spending time with my boyfriend and friends, playing with my English Springer Spaniel, Benji, and visiting new places.
